Dr. Tracy A. Miller, O.D. Education/Experience In 1991 Dr. Miller received her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of California, Berkeley.  She opened her private practice in Los Gatos, CA in 1993 where she practiced general optometry specializing in refractive surgery co-management.  In 2005, Dr. Miller relocated to Grand Junction with her husband Dennis White (a Grand Junction native) and their two boys, Cody and Tanner. Membership/Affiliations As one of the founders of COLA (California Optometric Laser Associates), Dr. Miller worked along side Dr. Stephen Turner as the Optometric Liaison for Turner Eye Institute Medical Group in San Leandro, CA.  As liaison, Dr. Miller provided training for fellow optometrists in co-management of laser refractive surgery as well as other refractive procedures such as Phakic IOLs and the newer accommodating IOL options.  Dr. Miller is a board certified optometrist licensed in California and Colorado, and a member of the American and Colorado Optometric Associations. Honors/Accomplishments In 1998 Dr. Miller received the prestigious Santa Clara County Optometric Society Young Optometrist of the Year Award and was voted California Young Optometrist of the Year in 1999 by the California Optometric Association.
Dr. Negar Niazi, O.D. Education/Experience Dr. Niazi studied chemistry as an undergraduate and recieved her B.S. in 1992 at University of California, Los Angeles. She then completed the Health Career Program at Harvard University and continued on to get her Doctorate of Optometry in 2001 at University of California, Berkeley. She has completed an externship in pre and post-operative care of LASIK and PRK patients at TLC Laser Eye Center in Denver, Colorado. Later, she continued working at TLC as an affiliate doctor. In addition, she has training in keratoconic and post-cataract surgical care. She has now joined our team of doctors at Grand Valley LASIK & Cataract to provide outstanding patient care. Memberships/Accomplishments Dr. Niazi is a board certified optometrist liscensed in Colorado and New York. She is currently working on publishing her research paper on The Safety and Efficacy of LASIK Comanagement. As an undergraduate, she performed research on glaucoma and published and co-authored many papers in the field of Gastoenterology.
